I had a single skein of hand dyed yarn from Black Sheep Dyeworks and was trying to figure out what I could make with it. Then I stumbled upon the Antarktis pattern by Janina Kallio.

It's an asymmetrical wrap knitted in a mesh pattern that looks complicated but is not. It was so engaging and fun to make — I kept saying "just one more row."

I like the mustard yellow color and how the lace sections opened up when I blocked it. Although, I could not keep my cat off it while it was drying. My husband and I went out to dinner and while we were gone my teenager sent me this photo. I was like "get her off!"

Fortunately she didn't do any damage to it, it dried pretty quickly, and it turned out great. I can't wait until the fall so that I can wear this.
